    Defender td5 Black smoke

Sometimes the simple things are overlooked. I once had a smilar experience and it was the internal harness had worked loose on one of the injectors. Pushed it in and replaced the rocker cover- went fine. just a thought

Just back from the mechanics, they can't pin point the problem, thinking it might be the injector seals have gone and diesel is just pasing straight through,or the head has cracked anyhow I have left it with them and wait for the news, knowing my luck with the car it will be the most expensive thing possible

    Is it a 10P 1999 engine?
Were there other issues like constantly having to bleed the fuel system?
