They are the same box.
If you are running a td5 with magic powers read:vnt , you will need a IRB dual ch box which allows adjustment of the MAF readings aswell.
Anyone know the difference between the Bell Auto Services TD5 Boost Box ( TD5 Boost Box | Diesel performance tuning and economy remap chip tuning for Landrover Defender Discovery TD5 Puma TDV6 TDV8 ) and the Alive Tuning Turbo Booster ( Alive Tuning Ltd Turbo Booster )? The Alive Tuning unit is a few pounds cheaper in price and international freight.
They are the same box.

Not to sure about the TD5's,
But I just installed the BAS version on my PUMA and WOW...how good is it.
Pete Bell has been tops, from payment, to freight, to adjusting the map to suit my needs. Highly recommended supplier.
I must say, TD5 Alive also gets great reviews.
My vote Bell Auto Sevices.....![]()
Cheers, but I already have my Alive Tuning unit (it was cheaper than BAS), and I will be installing it tomorrow.
It's a preset unit.
The build quality of it is terrible. The plastic is far cheaper quality than that of the OEM MAFs. The specifications are not exact as it is extremely hard to push fit into the air filter box lid.
Upgrades on my vehicle are the exhaust system, air intake piping, air filter, turbo booster box, BMS ECU tune and some headwork. The reason for fitting this is because there is something that is triggering the vehicles protection measures and causing it to run in a limp home mode as well as use far more fuel than it should. I'm hoping that either the turbo booster box and/or this uprated MAF sensor will solve that.
I am running BAS remap, modified airbox, no cat or mid muffler, td5alive boost box, ASE Intercooler, egr bypass with factory turbo and the nanocom has the MAF peaking past 650 kg/hr and cutting fuelling above 3,500 RPM.
I even put a maf bypass pipe (3/4 inch) from the airbox to the intake pipe downstream from the MAF as per the 'MAF Bypass' thread and still peaked out the MAF.
I replaced the MAF to confirm this and the readings were the same.
So you CAN reach peak airflow with the factory turbo!
So I have ordered the modifed MAF from Td5 Alive.
I didn't see any point getting the 2 channel boost box as I already have the one overriding the MAP readings.
Cheers,
Paul

I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.
Cheers - your the first other person I have found who also seems to be having this issue on the stock turbo (non-VGT). I believe that this is the same issue that I have been getting, as when I disconnected the OEM MAF and drove around the vehicle ran better. The MAF I was running was not very old either.
I think I get that happening with stock turbo, no boost box. Used the nanocom and recorded peak air flow 651.4 at 2838 rev, after that record air flow readings of 0, but it keeps going doesn't seem to affect the drive.
Tried a new MAF, thinking it was faulty but got the same readings. Vehicle runs better with MAF disconnected but drinks like a fish. Most of the time I really try not to rev over 3k, well most of the time.
I have an air flow circuit fault registered on the nanocom, 03 - 07 air flow circuit current. Having looked around this apparently may translate to "moisture in airflow inlet /dirty" moisture / dirt, I posted a thread about it (to avoid hijacking this thread its called Td5 air flow issues, any input would be apreciated, no ones posted yet), thought that may have something to do with the 0 air flow readings but sounds like it just may be exceeding the max (didn't know it was 650).
