    eas compressor

does anyone know if the head on the p38 is interchangable with the classic compressor. ive found the inlet and exhaust valves to be u/s on the classic pump after changing the piston seal so im looking to change the head if possible and mount on the car ans a diff lock any tyre compressor leaving the eas to run independant. chris

    G`day ,

ours has a P38 pump with a classic head .

I forget what but there is a difference with the inlet , not just the filter .

The physical pump parts are the same .

The heads with physically interchange .

    The p38 has a larger motor .

    Replace the reed valves....

You can clean them up with 1200 wet & dry and a spray of Inox or turn them over.

The inlet valve must have the short piece under the main flap as it operates as an unloader when the pump shuts off by leaving the reed just slightly off it's full seat.
The o ring on the outlet valve is also something to watch and can make a huge difference on pump duty.

If you contact PaulP38a he can supply a full compressor seal kit and EAS valveblock kit.
