race ready/rwc
Hi all,
Last year I let the reg runout on the rangie by mistake, when I went to pay it vic roads said I was too late and the vehicle could not be re registered without a road worthy certificate and vic roads inspection.
I have had different information in regard to the need for an inspection, when i rang the first time vic roads told me I will need an inspection as the reg has expired, and the second response was as the vehicle is still being registered in my name I will not need an inspection , only a current roadworthy certificate.
The car started life as a 2door 3.5, it now has 4.6,zf,lt230,BL,6pt cage,CCDA race ready.
Does anyone know what the regulations actually stipulate?
I know there is work to be done but to be race ready and vic rods compliant seems to be quite difficult.
Regards,
Michael.

Happened by mistake to my mums car, if less than 1 year has passed since the reg expiry then we only needed to get a rwc and no inspection by vicroads. That was a few years ago. Sounds like you will struggle to get a roadie though. Hope you know someone friendly.
