what diffs to handle 36's and 400+ hp!!!!!

Hi All well i'm coming to the end of my build(FOR NOW) and i'm wanting to upgrade my diffs and gearbox i've put a worked holden 5lt in and i'm going to bolt a t3 t4 hybrid turbo on to it and intercool it so i'm looking at atleast 400 bhp.

So my question is what diffs i would love to keep the rover diffs but i don't want to keep floging a dead horse if they are going to keep breaking! And also i don't want to spend heaps of $$$$ on them!

    Any idea's?

    Thanks Adam

for big HP in a comp truck I wouldn't bother with rover diffs and axles. It's not a matter of if but when.
use the entire disc to disc housings from a cough GU cough and get the benefit of bigger better brakes as well.

Patrol 5 speed gearbox into Land Rover transfer case. Then Patrol front diff and 80 Series LandCruiser rear diff (correct offset to keep propshaft straight).

the nissan box will keep your drive shaft aligned with the diff. Otherwise as said above the 80 series rear diff has the pumpkin in a better spot but I think it would be easier to to run gu from front to rear.
A few people have done this type of conversion before. Maggott4x4 had nissan front and rear diffs then changed to a yota rear because of vibration at speed. Kermit went the whole way and had nissan front to rear. I think Matt Fenner had nissan running in an old comp rangie many years ago as well. I'm sure there are plenty of others who have made the mod.

a little bit off topic but surely a yella terra supercharger would be better then waiting for the t3 to come on boost? just a thought.

Id be going GU's all round. The big reason for me is you know there will be at least 1000000 people at the comps running them and there is always going to be spare hubs/cv's around to beg borrow and steal.

Portals count you out of many of the big comps to so thats worth noting.

Im a fan of autos too. It just depends on what comps you are wanting to use if for really.

GU Diffs, GU 5 speed and GU transfer, add a marks dual transfercase setup and/or transfer reduction gears and you will be way better off. once you break the axles/CVs upgrade to some after market items.

C303 truck axles would be great but good luck finding a set... luckily i already have some for my comp vehicle
