TD5 injectors, Mechanical or electrical failure?

Can anyone give me an indication on td5 injectors, that when they fail, is it usually the electric solenoid side or the fuel injection side,

and when they recondition them do they replace the solenoid,

and a thought, if a td5 gets cooked does it show up later again in premature injector failure?

I have seen both, electrical and mechanical failures. Of these mechanical was more usual, even broken plunger springs in 2 of them!

The injectors can be damaged by overheating, I have finally solved a poor performing D2 by replacing the injectors after it was overheated.

They are difficult to recondition as the solenoid component can't be repaired AFAIK, and I am not even 100% sure the parts are available to recondition them correctly/ properly.

Not really considering the amount of these vehicles we work on. Had only 3 in the whole of last year for example. Compared to the Rodeo and others these Td5 injector issues are almost a non event

A world leading design that still works well.
