Into the oil return pipe on the turbo with the check valve
It shouldn't add anyway I don't think as that sits on the outlet side and the pressure is built up On the inlet side. Mann want to see the install too
Thanks for the info however

Only just saw this thread.
Check the Provent for any lumpy crap from the breather. I found mine released a fair amount of crud bit cleaned up after.
Mine is only now starting to really flow oil into the body. I haven't plumbed mine yet as I want to get an idea of how much oil it's collecting. So far I have reached the bottom of the filter twice, first time being from install when i recieved the bulk deal stock until about 5 weeks ago and the second time when I checked it last week!
I don't think it will be the Provent with an issue but depending on what oil you are using, a synthetic won't throw any carbon deposits whereas mineral oil will.
This is possibly what has blocked the filter however I can't see that with the breathing volume and the size of the filter that it would cause it to force oil out thru the gasket from blocking particularly when the Provent cap has a relief valve on it. If the element blocks you will see mist staining coming from around the cap.
A good way to check if your rocker gasket is good is to see if the steel dowels hold it in place. If you put the gasket into the rocker cover then push all the dowels in and it still falls out, time for a new gasket as the rubbers gone hard.
It's not imperative to use sealant but if you do, it's ONLY for the base of the rear moon seal. Don't use hylomar or Permatex etc as you will clag everything up. A releasing silicone like Rhodorseal or an RTV is fine but not one that bonds and needs solvents to remove.
think I might have a small amount of free time Saturday so PM me if you want me to drop in and sus it out.

I've replied above...
Thanks again for the info and offer.. will see what is said..
I'd just like to reiterate.. i dont thing the provent CAUSED the issue, i just think it has highlighted one. I cant say enough good about MANN and their service either..
Oh... and the provent is Definitly working!

Some time after I installed the provent on my Td5 it started blowing oil out the front semi circle (half moon) rubber seal on the head. Replaced the seal and used a quick drying sealant, have not had any more leaks. My provent has not been plumb back into the sump and is draining into a 300-400mm length of clear tube, just unplug then end to drain off the oil when it fills.
