VRS- but what are these for?

Just wondering what these rubber rings are for? Never used them on any head I've done. Part STC4082

I wondered the same thing both times I've had my heads off!

Couldn't find anything similar in what I took off, so I ended up just chucking in the tool box and hoping nothing died!

Well examining the evidence, 8 rings, 8 cylinders. Is there any features to the ring, external or internal groove (to locate in a hole etc?)

In other news please don't use the head bolts, use ARP studs.

These are the orings that hold the fuel injector body into the bracket that clamps them to the inlet manifoild on a Flapper airflow system, not certain WHY they supply them for some 3.9 VRS kits though, maybe someone is not sure what the difference is between hotwire and flapper systems

...I have heaps of them lying around in the bin and in my toolbox, the floor, the cupboard. One day I'll find a use for them
