I'll second Lifestyle as well. Steve is always accommodating and offer advice at a drop of a hat.
Hey guys ...
Just picked up a 2005 D3 4.0 ltr petrol, 229k on the clock and having had it a few days - and pleased with it, I've just had the amber engine warning light flick on.
So now I'm confused - no other lights (like oil or water).
I'm guessing I need a reliable (and trustworthy) mechanic NOR Perth (we're in the Joondalup area).
For a few years I've used Richard Mackie on here for the SIII, but he's disappeared recently.
Appreciate the help in advance.
Cheers.
Richard disappeared a good while after some personal trouble. We used to use another highly recommended bloke in the northern burbs but he stopped answering calls etc after securing better pay "up North" as they say.
I go to Darren at Aztech 4x4 in Rivervale now. Very good mechanic who is the owner and sole worker and is dedicated to LRs and Jeeps only.
Doesn't mind a bit of a yarn either.:p
Do not go to some other so called experts working out of the northern suburbs or you may discover you've made a bad mistake.
Cheers.
Alan.
Snap - me too (been there done that). I also thoroughly recommend Darren, but don't tell too many people or we'll never be able to get to him.
I can recommend Kev at Rovertech, there's not much he doesn't know about Landies (once diagnosed a problem with my RR Classic just from the sound as I drove down the driveway). Also will go out of his way to help if you run into a problem off the beaten track.
Not cheap but then you get what you pay for.
I wish the mob I have using in Canberra were half as good.
Are there any good Land Rover mechanics around Bibra Lake or O'connor or elsewhere SOR?
I'm in Freo and apart from RoverTech in the Bentley area, the closest I have found is Rivervale, so good luck/ happy hunting
There is Soverign Automotive in Myaree,
Don't know anything about them tho.
Sorry to dig up an old post but its been a while and wondered if anyone had any inputs to "Good" mechanics to service Land rovers
I'm in the northern suburbs but travel is fine for a better result
A lot changes in 5 years Any new ones on the block worth considering? Or old ones not so good now?
Cheers
