After speaking with Chris at gibsons today, he will do them for either d2 or normal style flange depending on what you need, he said its easier for him to do it to a d2 flange, The unis in the DC and diff end are all greasable, he also tells me he has seen shafts with these uni's and splines come out of a mine truck after a few years use underground and they are still like new. BTW the unis/splines/DC's are all Italian made.
Checking out my front shaft to do a prototype shaft, there are no issues clearance wise to do this swap into a puma, and interestingly enough the puma front shaft already runs 1350 series uni's top and bottom, just no DC, where as the rear is 1300s top and bottom - i guess they intend the rear shaft to be there weak point comparing the front and rear shafts in my 130 the rear shaft is very poorly made sounds like its made of tin foil when you flick it but the front is much nicer quality. I will address that on mine when i do the salisbury conversion though.
He has done several land rover shafts as well and he is pretty confident that they should fit in d1/d2/defender/county etc without hassles. He doesnt mind doing custom lengths, he will do DC rear shafts if you want, he also said if anyone wants just the 1350 DC put into a existing shaft he should be able to do and said he can definetly put one in a puma front shaft by flipping it so the spline is on the diff end and put the DC on the other end. Not sure what this would cost but i will find out early next week.
