300tdi radiator

haha, my wish is to just have a normal service with no hidden extras :eek:

alot of the bigger rads and intercooler set ups, especially from the uk, require different loaction, like move the I/C infront of rad etc...not possible for me as I have A/C and then winch

Fairly sure these ones just fit up as normal, that was one thing I remember I liked about them. I bought mine knowing it was going to cost a bit to do up, but the way I look at it, I can spend 20K doing it up to new and still not cost anything like a new 4x4.

Have had Landies in the family or work all my life, would not have any other brand unless it was road work.

I fitted the oversize allisport radiator to my defender 300tdi last week, i allready have an allard full front intercooler but with the standard copper radiator[1 year old from MR in a panic] behind the car would get hot on a long climb[to the point i had to stop on the climb upto maleny. I have a seperate temp guage in the water jacket of the head and it generally sat just under 100 degrees while the dash guage was normal[just under 1/2] until a climb or towing. I had to modify the top plate over the radiator as the fill bung is in a different spot and grind down the strap to the slam panel. So far the head is running at a steady 90 and no issues going up Mt cootha but will try maleny for work on Friday. I believe the copper ones we buy are made in Turkey and dont last Britpart/****part for the previous [not from MR] radiator i bought new on ebay in Australia- 4 months and pinholing, mates from same seller did exactly the same thing, he has allisport as well now

Do you have air con? If so where is the condenser now mounted?

I removed the condenser[i dont need air con] but if i was to keep the condenser in its original place i would have to get the fibreglass forward grill frame from a county or some td5s and there would be plenty of room for the lot, from how i see it-it wouldnt be to difficult, my biggest drama has been finding a transmission cooler [for the auto] that i can mount in my bullbar[with air cut out] rather than down in my steering guard[gets full of mud], im yet to find that fibreglass grill frame
