    D2a V8 Thermostat

for some reason I had a look on the Tridon website and they offer a
hi-flo thermostat that opens at 82 for the V8.
    it says "30% more flow"

Would either of these things make it a worthwhile change?

Been traveling out west with a trailer, outside temp a few weeks ago was 43, and hit 101 deg so backed off to drop to 96/98deg, please.. Searched and only found info on Oilers, what is the safe max temp for a v8??
    This could be good Pedro

    Two things

82 degress: what does it open at by design using a stock factory thermosat? Opening early or late of design is not good (within reason). Too cold = more wear, too hot warped heads etc.

30% more flow: Q=AV so therefore Q is 30% more which means either the velocity has increased or the apperture in the thermosat has increased. Should be the apperture otherwise flow increase is not possible. Increased velocity would not be a good thing with regards to wear. Actually this portion of "30% increase in flow "doesn't make much sense and believe you will just increase the internal wear on the system. Q=A1V1=A2V2 so no good. (The system maybe capable of the 30% flow increase with minimal increase in wear but it's a Land Rover).

    Regards
    Andrew
