200tdi VS 300tdi

There's always old wives tales surrounding just this type of thing,the 200 will always hold a soft spot because it can lay claim to be the daddy of the original 2.25ltr four but personally I think there is stuff all between them going by what I've experienced. Pat

dont worry about them... the engines seem to have the legs.

That's easy then, swap to 300Tdi pistons when you fit a 300 head. The bore stayed the same from 1958 when the 2.25P appeared until 1999 when the last 300 rolled off the line.

oh so do I....

I actually want to setup to do a highspeed of a turbo diesel destruction. not like the yanks seem to think its good by just pulling the coolant out and running it but by forcibly injecting diesel into the sump while the engine running.

+ injectors, and I think the 300Tdi went until '09 or so as they were used for third world export and the UK Army XD 'Wolf'.

Oh believe me I have tried very hard in my winch challenge truck with a 200tdi and the engine was still
Good. I broke 2 Cambelts both In Mud holes. The belts snapped at full bore trying I get out of mud. Just two tappets, few push rods and new belts needed each time.
