    What Grease

What is the white grease used in the assembly of drum brakes?
The grease used to lubricate the points where the shoes contact the backing plate etc.

Probably zinc oxide grease. Also useful for door latches etc... Castrol has a version called Castrol PH ...

    Thumbs up Neat website

Just came across Castrol's lubrication website. Really great for the DIY home mechanic, just put in your vehicle details and it gives out all the oils/lubricants required including quantities.
