For a couple of months I have been trying to get rid of an occasional popping missfire on my D2 V8.
Nanocom always reads faults in relation to o2 sensor faults.
I replaced the o2 sensors, I replaced the Maf and TPS as these also came up as faults, coils, plugs leads replaced.
Yesterday I cleared the faults and started the engine, checked with nanocom evo the running engine, no miss fires at idle then took a reading whilst giving the throttle a bit of stick. Missfires constantly on 3 cylinders.
Again the o2 sensors. I replaced the ECu and wiring loom in Jan.
this afternoon I plugged in Nanocom evo and read the codes again.
This time to my surprise I got a code P1000, "o2 sensors swapped."
I am hoping this is the holy grail, (I never had that P1000 code, with those words following.)
Maybe the problem is that when installing the new loom that I accidentally crossed the o2 leads over at the rear of the engine.
I'm going to swap them over, on the week end and keep my fingers crossed that that was the problem.
