What are you going to do to the back?
Put a tray on it or a series tub?
Maybe even make it a station wagon?
Hi i'm new to the forum and i'm interested in putting a series 3 body on a range rover classic chassis can anyone help
What are you going to do to the back?
Put a tray on it or a series tub?
Maybe even make it a station wagon?
I'm going to use the standard land rover tub
Then it will be looking like Danny's, the blue one.
Which motor? Danny has a diesel (Isuzu I think). Mine has a carbied 3.5 V8.

						Genius.
How difficult is the job?
Buy the DVD - "A 4wd is Born" and it will give a blow by blow description on how to do it. Not that ADRs apply to the age of the chassis not the body so you will need to get as early as possible RRC chassis - ideally the same age or earlier than the series 3 body.

Mine was easy. I bought it that way.
It's a rough job but functional. If you need any photo's, just ask.
Of the four I know of, all were built by persons other than the owner.

why dont you use a 88 tub and make 12 inch longer doors......
I made one in the 1980's but shortened the RR chassis by 10" and simply dropped a Series 2 88 body right on. After seeing mine Dave Clancy made one and then they started to become popular.
