You may find it easier to register as a rebodied Rangie/Disco than as a modified vehicle. Check with your rego mob and engineer.
Thanks for that I'm still wondering how I should do the rear cross member because on the DVD A 4X4 is Born he made one up and I'm also wondering what to do when cutting the rear bulkhead can I just use pop rivets or do I have to TIG weld it as well

If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
I've heard of people cutting off the RRC rear cross member and welding on a series rear crossmember. I think that is what was done to Danny's. Mine has the RRC rear crossmember.
I would say the rear crossmember would have to be welded.
I had a chance to see one of the three prototype Perenties. This may throw a few ideas.

I would like to use the series rear cross member but I would have to find another one because the one on the series 3 I bought is very dodgy it's rusted out on one side to the point where you can move it up and down. Another thing is can I use the outriggers that hold the bulkhead on from the series 3

I realise there's not much of it left but, is that still a RRC body?
Does it still have the RRC dataplates attached? If not, What dataplates are attached to the body?
Hi mate,
There was a two door RRC on eBay a while back. He's is Mount Barker. I think I still have his number. Not sure on the year or if it's running. Body looks in great shape though. I think he was looking for $800!
Actually would be a shame to break such a nice two door but you could make good money from the body panels over time.
PM me and I'll see if I can find his number.
George the mule has a mostly standard rangie chassis underneath. Has had some sort of pulley system fitted at some time to winch forward or reverse. Not in use now and I moved the front of the chassis back about 50mm to bring the bull back closer to the body. Seems that to get the cab in the right spot on the chassis in relation to the motor and gear box you end up with the Rangie chassis sticking out the front a good way.Has some extra out riggers and body mounts fitted for the ute body. Shortened series three ute body, a 4bb1 isuzu, a isuzu msb 5sp gear box mated to a lt235 transfer case, custom 4 link rear and a custom 3 link front. Was done by a bloke in N.S.W , not the person I brought it of who also is in N.S.W Is registered as Rangie due to as previous noted a.d.r going of the chassis. Motor/ gear box set up is grouse. More than enough grunt for a ute and the gear box being a truck one has extra low first.
Cheers Hall
