    Would it surprise you to know that the shock is Land Rover brand, fitted by the Land Rover dealer?

    And yes, next time I will be getting a different brand and doing it myself.

    Or you could put a few packing washers between nut and shock rubber washer, Regards Frank.

    Exactly my thoughts Frank and have done that now. Good enough for the moment at least... Later I might investigate some poly bushes that are 5-10mm deeper. I'm just happy I don't have to listen to constant squeaking this weekend away now!!

    They don't look like Rover bushes to me, unless they have mightily compressed.
