Ive got one.
Does anyone have a series three with a hand throttle fitted.
I want to fit one to my vehicle and I know they are different to the earlier series 2, 2A hand throttles.
I believe that they fit straight onto the bulkhead below the dash!
Cheers for now, Mick.

Dave,
Any chance of sending me a couple of pics of it please?
It is mainly the placement on the bulkhead in the cab, of the main hand control mechanism that I want see a pic of.
Thankyou and cheers,
Mick

thats the later model stuff, the cable isnt the OEM fitout, the OEM fitout is a linkage.
Pics to follow when I find the phone which Ive put down somewhere and have left set on silent from work...

the placement of the hand throttle is as per the pic thats already up...
the linkages go on the passangers side of the vehicle in the "well" of the fire wall. An arm attaches directly to the throttle linkage cross bar and rests under pressure from the accelerator returhn spring on a stop that has the cross bar passing through it. The linkage rod from the hand throttle acts on the stop lifting it as the hand throttle is advanced.
Coarse setting of the hand throttle is done by adjusting the position of the arm that turns the throttle cross linkage.
Fine adjustment is made with the ball links of the linkage from the hand throttle to the stop arm.
All adjustments are made AFTER the normal operation of the accelerator pedal and normal linkages have been set.
Now. is it for a diesel or a petrol?

Except that one is the SIII type!
The SII and early SIIa is a curved face bracket and lever that sits immediatley under the instrument panel
Just like this one on Dinty's Bloodbox
and in the late SIIa it is a vertical panel that sits in the glove tray just to the side of the instrument panel.
Oops
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
errr IME only the later model stuff
up to at least 76 they had the linkage, thats what fozzy came with and a couple of others Ive worked on.
The only cable fitted ones Ive seen on SIII have been after production fits by owner/operators.
or did you mean top left referring to the picture of the in cab part?
