Just an update I sourced and good used auto and have fitted it. I also used my Ashcroft HD TC that had been sitting under the house for 3 years. Well it works perfectly. Took a lot of attempts to get it seated at he correct height the bush in the TC was a bit tight. (I have risked not getting it opened and inspected but I was short on time and cash)
Anyway the Ashcroft TC was not the issue and it works perfectly:), my d2 is running well.

There aren't too many that can rebuild the ZF properly and use decent hard parts. Beware the cheaper gearbox is what I say!

This box is out of a D2a and has a 172000 on it so if I get another 50000-70000 I'll be happy, That should tied me over untill the new defender.:D
