    replacing master cylinder on RRC

Well I have just replaced the Master cylinder on my 92 RRC, and as I suspected the vacuum booster was half full of fluid.
Since I have been sensitised to it, I have noticed it bubbling away as I put my foot on the brake for the last couple of weeks.

I was able to get about 750Ml of fluid out of the booster and the reservoir using a syringe with a bit of hose on it, and you can get a bit of rag down to mop up the dregs. It only took about 1/2 hour from go to whoa, but you need an 11MM union spanner to be sure of not rounding the pipe nuts.

I now am going down to do the hard part . replace the flexible hoses and then bleed the system.

    Regards Philip A

    Haaa!
I should have known the Land Rover Gods would get me.
Turns out the hoses are wrong . They are male ends whereas mine are female ends.
Ah well I bled the brakes and all is well.
If anyone has the female hoses and wants to swap for a set of male end hoses , PM me.

The female end hoses are ANR 1765 and are on 92 onward whereas the ones I have go up to 91.
    Regards Philip A
