the destruction that allows thrust bearing to meet fork is the collapsing of the thrust bearing carrier, usually accelerated by riding the clutch and poor hydraulics adjustment.
The cause of the flex plate getting lunched out like that is dropping the clutch too agressively, a worn spigot bearing and worn input shaft bearings.
The clutch is not rated to take up at full power. you could very easily tear apart a clutch with just 10-20KW if you applied it roughly enough often enough.
