    Td5 cam shaft cover breather hose

    this hose seems to have hardened with age and leaks at the clamp ends. Replacement part is LLH500180 and at least $80! or much more depending on source.

    Is there anything particular about this hose that a suitable piece of tubing that can take the heat and oil couldn't be used as a replacement.

    2002 Td5 auto 195k km.

    only the bends in it that clearance it so it shouldnt chafe.

    thanks, there's a metallised sleeve over part of the original hose that I will be able to re-use and I don't have the acoustic cover on. cheers
