    stupid key fob

hey guys i need help in re-setting the key fob on my TD5 Defender.......

now this is how the story unfolds

my 130 TD5 never came with a keyfob or Alarm
but after my ECU discovered it doesn't need oil to work

we fitted a new ECU no problems there, but when the old one died it enabled the alarm and immobiliser on my Defender.......

the boys at AMV tried everything to remove this new future, but to no avail
the car alarm worked fine and was the only way to get the car going

so i've just replaced the clutch and now i need to re-set the key fob that i have no instructions for

the ignition lights come on the binicle and all the lights lite up,but as soon as i turn the key to actuly start the darn thing nothing happens

    its a 2 button type

Where the heck have you been? I was thinking we hadn't seen you for a while.

Now I know — you haven't been able to get the 130 going to get home.

If the fob has never been programmed (sync'd) to the 10AS alarm then you'll need a Nanocom or similar. If it has been sync'd then try removing the fob battery, then press the lock button a few times to discharge the circuit, reinsert the battery and then press the lock button up to a dozen times. I suspect you will need the fob programmed in to the 10AS, you can also turn all the alarm/immobiliser off and do away with the fob.

    OK I'll try...

First off to program a fob in to the Nanocom you need all active fobs as the programming will need to be redone on all fobs.

On the nanocom go to the plop (fob) programming section under the 10AS.
Once selected it will tell you to press the lock button on the first fob until the hazards flash and the horn (may) sound. Once done pick up the next fob and start pressing the lock button and so on. You can have up to 4 fobs.

To disable everything go in to the 10AS and start turning the logical things from enabled to disabled.
