85 County, 1st of, im thinking the different ball joint lengths alone will not change the rear ride height of the vehicle. I changed ball joints in my rig, 25mm difference in length and no change. Its the springs that set the height. Now if you have changed ball joints AND removed the load leveller then things may change. I dont think anyone is saying you are wrong re different lengths. They are however saying there was/is only 1 OEM length.

since the load leveler works on the A arm then any differences is distance between the A arm and dive will show up as a differences in rear height IE shorter Ball joint = lower rear. longer higher rear.
yep, pretty much what I was getting at. But since I was going of your very short replies, it was hard to tell what you had done/changed in what order.....it will also depend on what condition you load leveller is in and how much load you actually put on, among many other variables ;)
I have a NOS 110 LL here that came off, a factory fitted 110. Its BJ is approx 100mm long. The seller told me he bought 5 110's for his business and removed all the LL complete and just fitted the springs he wanted.
So that begs the next question. What was the spring rate of LL 110's?

ok the load leveler even is 1/2 stuffed will return to the same height, just that it will take longer for the action to pump it up. always the same height because that's where the spill ports are located in the main ram.Quote:

have a look in" show your defender" i put a couple of 110 + fork truck pictures up the other day. apart from shock changes shes rather stock. and no sway-bars, need to spend more money on a defender to do the same. although i have Toymotor front shocks winch are longer and compensate for the Isuzu lower bump stops. they haven't dislocated at that height so about 2" more to go up fount.
now because i cant get the original length ball joint, i am ( one day ) going to make up a space plate to go under the block ( with the 4 holes)
LL 110 rear spring rate is 180/185lbs. I have an unused set of those springs from the same bloke you got your load leveller from. I'm open to ideas for adjusting the LL mounts for higher springs than standard though too.
Haha good to know im not the only one...as for photos I'm just curious about what mods people have done to there rear ends or have seen done or even what difference the MD ball joint does to the angle as I have never used one and will be considering one very soon...Quote:
