    TD5 Glowplug check.

I believe my difficult starting may be actually failed glowplugs, could be others issue too that have posted recently on difficult starting.
I did replace mine a couple of years back(non genuine),the raw unburnt diesel smell when doing the cold start and smoke is a giveaway.Once started all is good.Dash glow light illuminates,no ECU faults recorded.
Is there an in-situ check that you can do with a multimeter???
Im going to try using my Nannycom to cycle the glow plugs when cold to see if they feel warmer.
    Any ideas???

This might sound a bit silly - but was recently trying to fix the rear light on my 2004 td5 130. And this included checking the fuse. Had to look on the cheatsheet to find which one and it listed the glow plugs and the back light on the same fuse. The fuse was blown - but the dash glowplug light was still showing all OK.

Landrover wiring can be a mystery at times.....
