pic is a bit blury for my eyes, But Im thinking stock rover diff that has been lamianted/strengthend by Maxi-Drive. If not that is about as close a copy as Mal use to do them this way. I think I can see plug welds along the long side, you may have some Hollow bar sleeved on the inside???
I also see outboard shocks
Serg, there are probably hundreds of different 30spl axle lengths off the shelf. Most of the FF options terminate in a flange which can easily be redrilled "in the field" to the rover drive flange pattern.Quote:

It sounds like JB is on a reasonably tight budget, so $4k an axle for a 35 spl conversion (incl locker) may be a bit high - as opposed to <<$2k an axle for a 30 spline ARB locker and axle setup complete..
The choice is an uncommon length in an uncommon spline (24), available only from Barry - if he has stock, vs one of the most common splines available anywhere.
The 30 spl Dana and 30 spl toyota are close enough that you could make a toy axle fit to get you mobile again in an emergency. AFAIK there are axle suppliers in the US who sell axles with long splined sections which can then be cut down to length.
