    Thor ECU rechip

I know there are lots of 38A and D2 owners who will be interested.
I happened to be looking at 14CUX chips on Ebay and see that Mark Adams now does rechipping Thor.

To me this is really the only way to improve Thor because of the BECM integration and security features. .

I do not know if they are the same, but I DO know that you would have to send yours or if you buy one have it coded to your car as the security immobilises if it cannot find the right codes. AFAIK they even have little vials of fluid inside that rupture if you take the lid off.
All a bit paranoid those Poms, think their cars will be stolen.Oh that's right lots of Defenders are anyway.
But at least there is now someone who is doing it, and the fact that it is a chip out job is most probably the reason that there are no flash tunes around, as that would be infinitely easier.
C'mon you rich D2 and 38A owners , its only 200 cups of coffee.

If you are asking about buying another one to fit while you send yours away, I think you can but the VIN numbers and immobilisers have to be reset by Autologic or by the looks of teh Nanocom page by Nanocom.

I don't know if you typed your reponse in some unusual fashion or it's my old laptop , but I couldn't finish my response.
The other thing I wanted to say was that you would have to check all the ECU settings so they were the same as on your car eg auto vs manual, air or no air etc etc.
