Hey Mate... I'm 99% sure the rears won't fit in the front. as they are a larger diamiter.
I'm pretty sure it will come back to level when gearbox and tf are refitted.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

Hi guys, new to lr's and new to this forum. I have recently brought a disco td5 2000 model and I have done an ironman 2" lift. The fronts are sitting about 4" higher and the rear is about the same. The rear springs that come out of it were basically the same length as the iron man springs. The front were approx 2" higher as I would have expected. The new springs were thicker as I would also expect. My car has the gearbox and transfer case out of it currently because of needing new clutch - noisy throw out bearing and rear main seal and other bits and pieces. My question is silly but is kind of making sence to me however thought I would ask. Is it possible I have put the spring from the front in the back and the back in the front giving it alot more height, as in would it have been possible to fit it back to front. I would go and check but my car is at a workshop about an hour away and I have thrown out std springs already. Or do you guys think it will drop down and level out once gear box is back in ? Not sure but at the moment it is definatly about 2 inches higher at the front then the back. Also just put 33s on it with new rims![]()

Thanks mate I thought that would be the case I should have had a better look when putting it in but I assumed they would not be interchangeable and on the packaging it said it was front/ rear. Just looks abit weird ATM lol.
I'd say it's a fair call your ride will drop a bit when you put the gearbox and tc back in
Depends on the spring rating, I've got a 50mm SS lift with extra heavy duty coils, and I've got 85mm in the rear atm as I have no constant load
Just check the fitting instructions and stuff, although double the amount of lift does sound a little odd
Best of luck

I put in a Lovells +50mm HD lift and ended up with 75mm all round even with & without front bars. So it's a bit arbitrary.
it will be raised more then two inches, if your old coils are sagged then you will see more then a two inch lift because the lift is worked out of standard heights not your sagged height.
So if you have sagged coils and no extras and fit heavy duty coils you will most likely see 3+ inches of lift. Simple really.
Hi guys, I should have clearly worded my post. Front come up about 3-3.5 inches but rear kinda stayed where is was maybe up an inch hard to say really going from std tyres to 33s but I dare say there is two inches difference in height between f and r. The new + 2 inch rear coils were the exact height as originals which made me think maybe I put the wrong springs in front. All I really need to know is if the springs have the same diameter front and rear as I didn't check I just trusted iron man packaged the springs and shocks correctly. I'm sure it's ok but just thought I would check as I have found with lr so far, if you expect one thing it will most certainly be something completely different. Haha.
Which springs have the thickest diameter wire?
They should be in the back....
I'm not sure, I'm on my two weeks off and with the Landy in the shop and has been for nearly 6 weeks don't look like its moving anytime soon. So no fishing for me haha. I'll take the drive into emerald tomorrow and figure out what is going on. Thought it was weird when I was hanging off the bullbar and the car was bouncing maybe a cm if that I thought it felt abit firm for a standard spring rate. Pretty sure they are back to front. Lol at least it was not a hard job at all. Tombie what do you think about leaving the rears in the front and getting another set of rears because I must say I like how high it is lol.
