Its only got to make 2305.7km:)
Thanks Terry, some real world Tdi specific testing of the theory is good to hear:D
The 200 and 300 Tdi run a lot higher boost pressures than all other 4x4 diesel engines of its era, and coupled with an alloy head etc reducing boost and cyl temps and pressures I thought would've been mandatory to get it to last more than a few hills...:(

Hi Mike
What's the latest?
.
Latest is I said bugger it, it's worth a shot, as I can't really afford to wait it out in Alice Springs over the christmas. Just put the head back on with the original gasket and Hylomar, am in the last stages of putting it back together as we speak - just taking a break from the heat now for a few minutes - sun is splitting the stones here today. If it gets me to Melbourne, I'll put a new gasket on there.
Will get back to you later and let you know how it goes.
It'll be that last 0.7km that could make all the difference :DQuote:

Don't get ahead of yourself - haven't started it yet :D
The suspense! :D
Well, that 0.7km *did* make all the difference... it took approximately that long for it to start boiling over... :( Ah well, God loves a tryer and all that.
