Latest is I said bugger it, it's worth a shot, as I can't really afford to wait it out in Alice Springs over the christmas. Just put the head back on with the original gasket and Hylomar, am in the last stages of putting it back together as we speak - just taking a break from the heat now for a few minutes - sun is splitting the stones here today. If it gets me to Melbourne, I'll put a new gasket on there.Quote:

Well, that 0.7km *did* make all the difference... it took approximately that long for it to start boiling over... :( Ah well, God loves a tryer and all that.
