Engine Shot...

Dunno if this is useful to you Mike, but I have a spare good 300tdi head complete with valves that you can have for free.
I have a 4bd1 engine and 6x6 LT95a also here in sth NSW that I was keeping for a rainy day as I'm selling my 130 Landrover Isuzu crew cab presently, and was keeping the isuzu bits for a project later. Its not a big deal to fit these up to the Defender.
I can let these go for cheap if you are still after bits.

Short story is it ended up with a 4bd1+T conversion, and disappeared shortly afterwards never to be heard of again....
IIRC there's a conversion thread around somewhere.
