Any luck yet young fella?
Yes yorkie, I've tried those.
Tombie is right, doesn't fit.
However.
If it was simply a matter of undo top circlip, drop pin I would have worked that out mate ;)
I spent the best part of an entire day putting this on, needless to say I'm intimately familiar with it.
There ARE NO circlips at the top, picture the pin as a T design. Recess for circlips at the bottom only, lip at the top keeping it from dropping through.
Hence, I would need to LIFT the pin, not drop it.
As such, it's impossible to remove, as the angles from the top of the roller to the access point you pointed out are far too extreme.
The only way to solve this is to pull it off, and swap it around so the clips are at the top.
BUT.
A ring spanner of dads solved the issue, they're as tight as they're going to get.
Thanks for all the input.
Cheers
Muppet
it went on it will come off.
3/8th drive socket with a 3/8th wobble bar will get it.
the other option is...
remove the Circlip, push the pin up as high as you can, wedge the the bottom of the fairlead roller outwards and then pull it off of the pin past the bottom of the bracket.
Oh I know it comes off, I pulled them out to see if they could be put back in with the fairlead in situ.
It's just they're impossible to get off while it's actually on the bar :)
Anyway, it's done.
Now I get to wire it up, joy, the tigerz control box is a PITA to deal with.
Still, rather put in some spanner time now than get stuck in the mud with a decorative winch ;)
