Oki doki,
Put it all back together tonight. Pretty easy and quick.
I bought this kit:
DA1109DIS
https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/im...012/12/960.jpg
off evil bay from this mob: DLS Independent Land Rover Specialists.
I found it to be an adequate kit although the short hose from the turbo is about 5-7 mm shorter than the orig but seemed to go on ok. It would have been nice to have two new bolts for the blanking plate in the kit but it did come with 4 for the EGR end.:cool:
Also I only used 3 of the hoses? Did I miss one? I replaced the turbo end hose and both hoses in/out of the intercooler. I have the short 's' one left.
The clamps seem sturdy and may be stainless or just very shiny :p.
I was / am concerned about the hoses coming loose so nipped the clamps up real tight.
The hoses I pulled off were real soft but didn't appear to be delaminated when poked, twisted and prodded.
I am a bit unsure of the vacuum lines. The how to guide I printed (search really is your friend) suggested that both upper and lower lines should be removed from the modulator and the modulator ports blocked off. I did this and after starting, the lower (yellow) line was trying to pull a vacuum, but it ran ok I think. I just reconnected the yellow line which is not the one disconnected from the EGR valve and it seems ok. Is this right?
I reckon after a short drive, the old girl is running better. Less turbo lag and my oft complained dead spot when accelerating did appear absent.
Longer drive tomorrow.

i stripped my bottom one too, then read this thread.
this morning got it undone ok by spraying with lube, rotating pipe flange after removing the ok bolt on top.
then to break to bolt i used a chisel from ontop, slightly off center so it would bite into the head but push it around undoing it.
Oki,
Drove about 40km city today, beasty didn't play up once. All peddles responded as expected. Either my EGR was 'ted or one of my hoses had delam.
One of the cheaper fixes I'm glad to say!
