    Transmission cooler sequence

I am about to fit one of these (pic 1)to help cool the transmission when towing,,
The regulation place seems to be to the horizontal brackets in front of the radiator. I am not planning on running a dedicated fan.
My question is ,, is there a preferable sequence for the fluid?
ie; D2 cooler first then aftermarket cooler ?

Apparently the cooling effect with a dedicated fan is quite pronounced,,

I really dont think the sequence should matter to much as u will see a cooler cooling effect running two coolers. Cool . Although I would personally run the aftermarket cooler after the factory fitted one assuming it is more efficient.
I ran years ago the aircon condenser after disconnecting the aircon on as a transmission cooler in a street/strip vehicle. Was better than the aftermarket coolers at the time. Was told by a transmission specialist that was the best thing I could have done for the trans. He used to use condensors from the old box style house aircons.

Just going the process of fitting a Davies Craig unit (30-PLATE TRANSMISSION COOLER & 10 inch THERMATIC FAN COMBO - PART No: 691) and plan to run the trans fluid firstly through the D2 cooler and then through the additional cooler.

If yours does not come with a fan you can always add one later. The only question is whether you use a heat sensor in the line to turn the fan on and off, you run it all the time the ignition is on, or you have a switch to control it from the cab.

I am going with the last option as the fan should not need to be on during 'normal' driving.

I have a switch in the cab for my fan. Found that at some speeds it's better to not run the fan.
I think mine goes through the coolant cooler first and then through my trans cooler but then mine is on a Defender conversion.
