I have had a Thomas Big Red for over 10 years and it never misses a beat. It even helped out at my kids BMX racing night recently to provide compressed air for the air ram for the starting gate after the main compressor died. The Big Red feeds into twin 10 litre air tanks that I have mounted under the drivers side sill.
I also have an ARB compressor for my lockers and it has been working ok. It is only 12 months old at this stage.
Cheers
The fact is I have got to be honest with you all, I have always been itching to fix Locomotive horns into my 110 Puma. I just like the sound of Nathan KLA 5's. However I will tell her that I can infate childens toys and tyres.:D
How long do ARB take for Christmas holidays then? I sent them two separate emails over two weeks ago.
I've also got a WARN VTC...fast as hell with a giant flow rate but really heavy...plus it draws around 200 amps and kills batteries & alternators.
I also have a Bush Ranger Super MAXAIR...nice machine but runs really hot and cuts out far too aften for cooling down time. I think these are re-badged VAIR machines from China?
The ARB is a great bit of kit....mine is over ten years old and has never broken down...it's just running out of puff hence I'd like to rebuild it. Why spend over $400 on a new machine that doesn't take up any space?
Hiya Pat
You sure it isn't the pressure switch itself..Pull off the wires and use a bit of wire to bypass it to see if its it or not...
Hi Streaky, disappointing to hear your emails haven't been replied to. Certainly some staff are taking leave over the Christmas period which may be resulting in the delay. In any case, if you wanted to forward it on to me (socialmedia@arb.com.au), I'll be more than happy to make sure it gets to the appropriate person.
Cheers, Sam.
P.S - Despite comments to the contrary, all of our ARB compressors are manufactured on site here at our main factory in Kilsyth. Those who've been on a tour through the factory will no doubt have seen the compressor production line (right next to the Air Locker line).
You would have to view USA pumps or something out of Europe,Italian or German ??!!
If you want to be able to strip and fix as required, China is great for copying others designs but they are more into mass production cheaper units, non service throw aways....
