    Help requested

    Hi I am in Maffra Vic with either a fuel or injector issue TD5 Disco is running on 4 cylinders. Question is, is it safe to drive in this condition. I have had to drive half a day out of the mountains and will either continue trip or head back to Adelaide. My number is 0439858494 if you can help. Sorry no time to search forum.

    Cant help you with your specific query, but if you need a mechanic in the area....

    Pop the plug off the ECU and check for oil...

    Clean out as required....

    Should keep you going!

    Thanks Toombie, did that yes oil in harness, squirted wd40 and blew out with compressed air. No joy running like a tractor.
    It got me out of the mountains ok but I want to go back in and do Blue Rag.

    Not a quick fix then! Will I kill anything by drivin back to Adelaide like it is? Or continuing on mountain tracks?
    No LR dealership in Heyfield either.

    Loom once you get hold of one is a 45 minute job.

    You could suffer complete failure as is...

    The only other lead I can offer is Massaro Motors in Morwell who is Gippslands Land Rover Stealer. They may have an injector harness on hand.

    Looks like I will be spending a few nights in Heyfield. RACV confirmed misfiring due to either injector or electronic failure. Basic diagnostic discounted major cylinder/head issues.
    Looks like a quiet end to my VHC trip.
