It still needs to be assembled although I'm in the final stages, I have all weekend set aside to get it together.
I used the Ashcrofts kits for the gearbox and t/case reco kits as well as replacing all syncro's and a few cogs that had too much wear. I ordered a genuine Dual Mass flywheel and clutch kit.
The centre diff in the t/case has some galling on the bearing surfaces, a by product of a lot of time on gravel roads unlocked I believe. Anyway its going back together with the thrust washer held against the casing with some 660 leaving the gears to rotate on the washer....I'll see how that goes, the diff is easy to get to again.
While its been laid up I had the opportunity to replace all wheel bearings, change all fluids, injector harness, water pump, rear discs and pads, thermostat, check the oil pump bolt, sump gasket and rear main seal....plus a heap of other stuff I cant remember off the top of my head.
Cheers,
Jas
