the originals look like the canvas fire hoses I'm also sure they were not as stiff as when i pulled them off been on there for some time yeah Ive seen my local land rover parts dealers S with seat belts on but he also had a holden red motor I'm doing my old girl to original or as close as i can get since i have the original 6 cylinder engine and all that :) also my gut keeps telling me keep it as original as possible i think its telling me something?
I have had seatbelt webbing on the S1 for 30 years. Hasn't even started to fray. Double it over where it goes under the clamp.

Well my S1 has a big flat plate with 2 holes in it which clamps the webbing onto the plate on the chassis. Webbing can't move.
I assumed the S3 was the same? I will have a look at my S3 tomorrow.

If you used a bit of the old strap under the washers the seatbelt webbing would still work pretty well.
Roadworthy testers usually find things that look suss, they don't usually notice things that are no longer fitted. Especially with series LR.

I do liek the idea of using seat belt webbing! If i find I need to replace them I have the old seat belts that I replaced; I'll be using them! Good to recycle! :)
there is a big dirrerence between both i didnt think there would be but i was thinking if i didnt but something there the roadworthy testers would ask what was meant too be there?i just cant wait and see them taking the brake hubs off just to take a photo and only to put them back on hehehe but thats a long way for now as im now getting all the valves out and putting new ones in and trying to remove a broken bolt out of the engine blockQuote:
