Why do you need the Thor system Garry?

I have just bought a MS ECU for my '96 Disco; I decided not to use an EDIS and use direct-fire instead. Check out Trigger Wheels and EFI UK,

Thor injection manifold is what goes on the engine I have. I have no idea what direct-fire is.
