300 TDI. injector pump (HELP!!)
Ok so my reco injector pump arrived today
However it looks thesame expect for this leaver???

Was this a upgrade for better off boost fueling?
can I use this pump?
I rang the supplyer today and they said it's for the EDC model and you shoud be ok to just remove it.
So what do i do? leave it on take it off or take the pump back?
if I take the pump back it wont leave me enough time to replace it before I go on my trip so not a good option.

If that is an EDC pump, which I doubt, as EDC stands for Electronic Diesel Control and is actually a VP44 type of fly by wire pump, you will find that the phasing is wrong for our local non EDC engines, IE number 1 cylinder outlet is where number 4 is on the back of the pump.
It is like no other pump I have ever seen fitted to a landrover engine, I have seen the EGR and EDC pumps and they look nothing like it.
I would email the supplier with your concerns ASAP as the pump will be in a non returnable state once it is bolted to the vehicle, filled with diesel and rotated.
