Why don't you put the defender one in and see if it works. I'm pretty sure they all fit in the same hole of the transfer case. Someone else might confirm.
I swapped out the Defender LT230 for a higher geared Discovery box & now have no speedo reading. I'm pretty sure the Disco transfer transducer is knackered but I notice it has two wires, not 3 like the Defender. Would that be the problem? It's a common swap, but a forum search does not explain the wiring.
Thanks,
David

The lug is longer, & thicker. Just trying to avoid swapping out the whole output housing.. or if I buy a new one, will it work with 2 wires instead of 3??

Hi there i had a similar problem when changing my borg warner to lt 230.
the piece in which the transducer shaft presses into should be able to be removed from the transfer case and interchanged between the two. if that makes sense.
Cheers, David.

^^^^ What Dave said, and as a further bit of info the LT230 transducer etc fits the LT95, too. I have just fitted a td5 electronic speedo to the 4 spd county, finally no flickering needles, a decent trip meter display and great back lighting. AND it is accurate, too!!!
