    Hard to shift OUT of reverse

    Hi All,

    My 02 110 defender randomly has issues coming out of reverse, I have been trying to narrow it down but at this stage it just does it 50% of the time, any ideas?

    Not sure the last time the box was serviced so i'm going to do that first, I'm also after Castrol Syntrans 75W/85? i'm in Melbourne

    Clutch master cylinder failing causing a dragging clutch? Is it hard to get out of reverse if you are still rolling backwards when you try?

    OK i have narrowed it down,

    It seems that if I push to the right and up its smooth, pushing just up its stiff

    does this sound normal?

    Could be the shifter or the selectors in the box, someone else might have more specific knowledge.

    I am happy with the way it is to be honest, now that i have figured out its 'quirk'

    can anybody help me source some MTF? autobarn has syntrans but its $34/L
