New shocks - 6WD

You're going to need to take a closer look, on one side the plates are attached to the radius arm mounts, the other side the plates have a jog in them to bolt to the wheel side of the swivel flange-just the lower couple of bolts it seems.
It'd be a royal pain the proverbial trying to get the swivel bolts in and torqued up, its hard enough as it is without the extra thickess!

I dream of front airsprings, outboard damper to the rear, air bumpstop in front...

But alas, like Ricks zuzu conversion it most likely will never happen.

I do still need to fit up them air bumps I picked up when the aussie was worth a damn against the US, so perhaps phase one will be just front mounted air bumps.

I dream of mounting my 9100 to the rear of the front axle. With this type of mount it would help me get another 75mm or so for the closed length...

Thanks Mark, I see it now. I wonder if those lower bolts are longer? Since that plate looks about 5mm thick, they would bloody want to be as they are doing the most work!

I didn't realise the 6x6's used a twin damper front setup, and I've been up close and personal with a chassis on the chassis fatigue twist rig too :o

They dont. I copied these off the sister vehicle to Jitterbugs when it was at BOR a few years back.

I was confused by you having the same set up as mine!

The military maintenance manuals have the single front shock so assumed my set up was a one off (two off including the sister vehicle), makes sense now though.

What shocks are you running on yours?

These are 4 Old Man Emu Nitrocharger up front.

This is the top mount of a rear shock. These were on the chassis when I bought it but look a bit home made.
Is yours the same?
I dont have an Army manual that covers this.

My rear top mounts are as per perentie. Looking in the manual it is part# NRC7981, which is a standard LR rear shock mount.
This makes the rear shock mounts pin lower and eye upper.
I will get a photo this weekend.
