That's good, so they may even ban him or similar. That's why I don't do any eBay business by phone or personal email, just through eBay messages, as everything is recorded that way. Good luck!

thanks Davo, I actually cut and pasted some info for paypal but they only give you so many characters to write. I advised Ebay of the final email he sent they they said they would take action as abuse and threats are not tolerated, They told me to block him, and said as the items was not bought via ebay and was just a paypal transaction they could help me , but said to advise paypal of what they said.
Anyway I'm over it now , will see what happens.
cheers, Mario
Update, after the paypal incident response team witch hunt, they have decided that the buyer is to return the Head Bolts to me and upon receipt of them in condition I supplied them to buyer, they will refund the buyer.
My response was I would have to pen a case against the buyer, as the stretch bolts will no longer be of merchandisable quality as their tolerances and lengths will have been altered from new condition.
They will be binned. At least the buyer has to spend more money on posting and registering the return of goods as per Paypal instructions.
It's not a money thing it's the principle. Buyers case was incorrect goods delivered.
I did put a note for paypal, that we have no control of the aptitude of a buyers mechancial skills.
I likened it as the same if a person walks into a hardware joint, buys a length of electrical wire and not having the skill to rewire a house then comes back to the hardware joint complaining that his house burnt down.
What do I have to now, seal each part and put a warning label that if you are an oxygen bandit and do not have the correct Land Rover Technician diplomas then DO NOT FIT THIS PART.
But then no one reads warnings, so what do you do.?
Rant over
That's a shame, but not surprising. I used to take Paypal seriously until I had trouble and they made a similarly strange decision. Oh well, onward and upward I suppose!
try this approach mario;
'cylinder head bolts and other critical fasteners, especially torque to yield type, like electrical items are NOT covered under warranty and WILL NOT be accepted if returned unless in original sealed packaging'
there, that just about covers it :D

G`day ,
if a straight quote from PP then by their ruling because he can`t return them in the condition supplied he gets no refund .
Reading through this at the time it was obvious that you`ve no case to answer .
From his mail to you first the bolts were poor quality then the wrong ones which were the right ones then he torques them with the wrong system for the wrong bolts which weren`t supplied and freely admits it . He tells it has no suffix , they all have them .
It`s a shame there`s nobody on the ground there because it sounds from his description of coolant loss that he`s telling stories because there is no way that coolant can get around the internals as he describes on these engines because of there design , they are unlike alot of other engines where the headgasket covers a multitude of water jackets and if it is actually getting coolant at other than the end cylinders then it will likely have a cracked block but from his description none of it make much sense when it`s thought about so it can only be stories .

My first though would have been, that because he had the block and the heads machined, the head bolts may have bottomed out before applying the correct tension, which would explain his problems. He would need to supply all the specs. to me before I would even think about it;)
