Put a 5/16 air hose joiner and a couple of clamps where its worn. You can pull the hose right out and fit it across the top of the a/c compressor if needed.
Hi,
Have to change to hose bleed pipe to expansion tank.Where it goes behind the belt it has worn through and is showing a little bit of the white inner layer.
Is there an easy way of doing this particular job?
Have thought of blocking the connection to expansion tank with something so that I dont lose all the coolant.
Any ideas people.
Thanks
cheers

remove the radiator fill plug and then siphon the coolant out. I use a length of aquarium air tube.
You'll get out about 4 litres which will be plenty.

Well I just changed the bleed pipe hose.
I siphoned out the expansion tank, took bleed pipe hose off then put new one on.
Had about a cup come out of old bleed pipe hose.
Filled up expansion tank to the required mark.Haven't started it yet.
Will I have an air bubble in it from just siphoning out the expansion tank?
Dont want to cook the new reco donk.
cheers

If you have a clear/opaque expansion tank, you should be able to see a flow of coolant from the new hose you've just put on, into the expansion tank.
At 1200 rpm the coolant will hit the top of the coolant tank.
The idea of the 3 hoses and the plastic ejector module is to remove air from the system, so if it working ok the air will self bleed to the tank.
Note- there should be flow through those pipes even with the thermostat closed.
