Hi,
Have to get the wheel bearings done on the front of the D1.
Had a look in The Good Oil to see what size they were.
Apparently Timken Set 37 are suitable.
Went down road to purchase same on way to work.
When I was fueling up on way to work I realized that I had a bunch of spare stuff in my cupboard that came with the 300tdi when I bought it and I'd seen some wheel bearings as well.
I rummaged around this morning and found a set of four(4) wheel bearings in the box in a big plastic bag. These were Timken Hub Bearing RTC3429G.
They look like they are the same size as the Set 37.
Can one of the learned folk on this wonderful site enlighten me as to which would be the better bearing for the front wheels.
I know that the rht front is a bit loose so I'll be getting both sides done at the same time.
sorry for the bit of a ramble story.
Thanks
cheers

RRC, Disco1, Defender Tdi & Td5 all use the same bearing, inner, outer, front, rear = all the same item , love the parts interchangeability btwn models.
Thanks guys,I got a spare set then.
cheers
