Thread: 300TDi Auto box, does it have a breather??

If it does, whereabouts does it start from on the box and where does it end up on a Disco 1, also same question for T/C, thanks, Regards Frank.

hi frank, autobox breather is on the side of the extension housing, in the pic it is the red plug, the transfer case one is on top of the hi low shifter housing.

they both terminate at the rear of the engine, attached to a steel 'loop' bracket bolted to the back of the cylinder head.
