Exhaust manifolds for other turbos, tdi300

    Hey guys,

I have a question. Is it possible to get an exhaust manifold that will suit say a garrett turbo or any other flanges?

I basically want to replace the current turbo with a standard turbo say a TD05 or GT28 or something... but as the tdi300 engine has the rear housing cast into the manifold... i need a new one.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thanks
    Grant

Some of the VNT upgrade suppliers provide the centre section that you fit your end pieces too, not sure if this piece is available separately but i would be interested in one too.

They fit but mounting location is different so may interfere with other items.

200tdi defender turbo is above the manifold, so will hit the bonnet.

200tdi disco hangs below the manifold, so it should work, may need an angled adapter to get things lined up again.

I foolishly bought a stuffed 300tdi turbo, cut it off and welded a flange on... It worked, but welding the cast was extremely difficult.
