I believe MR Automotive are manufacturing the MD locker again, but if I understand your earlier posts the diff carrier and other side of the hemispere need to be modified for the MD locker.
If the diff carrier/housing need to be modified thats another issue again because I cant just swap diffs.

I think M R Automotive may only be doing Sals MD lockers. They dont need to make an entire new diff carrier for this. The just machine and broach the locking side and insert a steel sleeve that is male/female splined.
They may be able to help, if not, maybe Barry??? Im thinking, and again could well be wrong, that you may be able to get your current carrier machined/broached on the other side so you can set it up as a long side rear locker.

I've only ever seen / heard them set up as Isuzurover described earlier. On a Rover diff, the actuator is on the short side for rear and long side for front axles.
Looking at the cross section and detail below, I'm not sure if they could be set up the other way.

Im not going to say which way they were set up as Im not 100% sure. I am 100% my Rover front is long side, my Sals rear is long side.
Regarding the Rover type and whether it can be set up either way. What am I missing? The centre section of the axle housing is the same front and rear so if they are on long side front and short side rear, it shows it will fit inside the housing. Is it that it just has the locking mechanisim on the one side of the carrier. Maybe this was done for production reasons????

You're right Serg,
Of course it could be set up either way - locking one axle to the carrier will force the other to rotate at the same speed. My brain was not comprehending that when I posted.
I have 2 rover front axles - both lock on the long side, one rover rear (on short side) and one Salisbury rear also locking on the long side.
Apologies for the confusion.
