this is what i found in my sump along with a few other bits and pieces problem is i just finished cleaning and painting the outside of the motor and put new water pump and gaskets, new gaskets for oil pump casing, rocker covers, valley cover gasket, got to cleaning out sump and found this AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHH!
does anyone recognize it as a part from the engine.
I bought this engine second hand and was told it ran and had all new seals in it what worries me is the new seals all turned out to be gasket goo not new gaskets and when i say goo I mean lots of it
If the end fell off a poshrod while the engine was in a vehicle, and that pushrod and possibly the matching rocker arm were replaced, the bit in the sump will be unlikely to do anything to the engine. Check the pushrods are OK? I wouldn't worry a lot about it.
all push rods and lifters look ok I am going to just fit the engine and see what happens, if it stuffs up I will go from there as tbh I am not working atm and will give me something to do lol
well turns out the motor is absolute garbage no power and is making some funky noises so looks like I am chasing another one
so to anyone who reads this I am after a 3.5l v8 for a stage 1 if you have one or know anyone that does would love to hear from yas, I am located on the sunshine coast will probly need delivery if possible
Looks like beast is garaged for a while again and worst part I will have to sell my boat to finance
if your a lying cheating scum bag like the last bloke don't bother messaging me I will probly go postal if I get ripped again
Have you done a compression test ? If the compression is ok it might just be that the cam is worn, which would mean a loss of power and the motor running rough.

after a little further inspection that piece was glued in it had obviously been broken before and someone (not naming names ) has tried to glue that piece in with goo (photo is in previous post) I am seriously going to lose it soon. it is the casting for the bolt on rear of valley cover. trying to put too long a bolt in and seriously found at least half a dozen cross threaded holes where bolts need to go in, to he who shall not be named I know you are checking these threads out as you have pm'd me trying to get me banned by telling me to name you ( me not so silly ) do everyone a favour and stop working on your own rigs you are only stuff up
so wish i could get my coin back i have a young family I am a tradie that works freaking hard for my coin and can't afford to have my truck off the road for this long, boss is getting having to pick me up and it is messing with my life, and I can't go do what I really wanna do to sort this bloke as that would cause even more hassles I am at my wits end with this so so so frustrated, this photo is some of the goo I just pulled from the hole where it was glued
